California Central Valley has a few interesting small towns. Winters is known for its bike trails and small town charm. Madera offers a plethora of welcoming wineries and art galleries. Find all of the wall murals in downtown Exeter.

Winters is located off the 505 freeway in Winters between Sacramento and Napa Valley. Winters is a turn-of-the-century small town with an historic downtown with plenty of things to do and nearby attractions. In keeping with the character of downtown, Winters offers a few Bed & Breakfast Inns and carriage rides around town. Take a walking tour of historic homes, buildings and points of interest in Winters. Catch a concert at the Palms Playhouse. Find the perfect wine and cheese pairing at Main Street Cellars. Savor the best steak in the state at the Buckhorn Steakhouse in the historic DeVilbiss Hotel building. Nearby attractions include Lake Berryessa, Lake Solano, Putah Creek and the historic Winters Trestle Train Bridge that today serves as a bicycle & pedestrian bridge.

Madera is located just north of Fresno off Highway 99. Madera is known for its wineries and art galleries. Madera hosts artist events throughout the year including art exhibitions, summer concerts, arts & crafts festivals and wine tasting. Follow the Madera Wine Trail to some of the best Central Valley wineries. Yosemite National Park is easily accessible from Madera.

Exeter is located east of Visalia off Highway 99. Exeter is a quaint farming town that looks much the way it would have back in the 1940's. Downtown Exeter features boutique shops, small cafés and a Frosty stand. Exeter is best known for over two dozen wall murals that can be found around downtown. These murals depict the history of the region from American Indians to everyday farm life. The Exeter Historical Museum is situated under the water tower and documents the history of the region. Exeter is just a short detour from Highway 198 on the way to Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park.
