San Francisco Off-Road Parks

Knoxville Recreation Area is located east of Lower Lake and north of Lake Berryessa. Knoxville features 17,700 acres of steep and rolling hills covered with pine, oak, cypress and chaparral brush. Good for dirt bike, ATV and 4WD truck. Vault toilets are available at Lower Hunting Creek Campground but no potable water nearby. Other area activities include hunting, mountain biking and camping.

Motorcycle County Park is located south of San Jose off Highway 101. They feature 459-acres of grass-covered hills with 20 miles of ATV trails for dirt bikes and ATV. In addition are several tracks for competitive racing, a hill climb area and a paved Midget race track. Amenities include shaded picnic areas, restrooms and vending machines.
