Mojave Desert Off-Road Parks

Titus Canyon, Death Valley

Death Valley is located east of Lone Pine and north of Baker. Bad Water is situated in Death Valley and is the lowest point in the United States. Being known for its deadly heat, Death Valley offers hundreds of miles of ATV trails. Most of them head to unique points of interest. Some of these include Titus Canyon, The Racetrack, Chloride City, Tucki Mine and more. Farabee's Jeep Rentals is located in Furnace Creek and supplies 4WD vehicles to traverse any of the trails in Death Valley. Good for 4x4.

Dumont Dunes are located off Highway 127 approximately 30 miles north of Baker. These huge 500-foot tall sand dunes offer terrain for beginner to expert four wheelers. 'Little Dunes' is a favorite with families while 'Competition Hill' will challenge man and machine. Good for dirt bike, ATV, dune buggy, sand rail and 4WD truck. Camping is allowed within the riding area but there are no amenities.

The Kingston Mountains are located northeast of Baker. ATV trail riding is allowed in Kingston Wash which has trail markers pointing out interesting sites. Good for dirt bikes, ATV and 4x4.

Rasor is located southwest of Baker by exiting Basin or Rasor Roads from Interstate 15. Rasor is a large off-road park consisting of rolling hills, open valleys and sand dunes. Good for dirt bikes, ATV, dune buggy, sand rail and 4x4. Camping is allowed within the riding area but there are no amenities.

Spangler Hills are located south of Ridgecrest off Highway 395. Spangler Hills features 57,000 acres for cross country play, ATV trail riding, advanced technical routes, 4WD trails. Good for dirt bikes, ATV, dune buggy, and 4x4. Staging area and camping are available at Teagle Wash located east of Trona-Red Mountain Road.

Jawbone is located approximately 26 miles north of Mojave off Highway 14. Situated just south of Red Rock Canyon, Jawbone offers hundreds of ATV trails on over 7,000 acres of desert terrain. Good for dirt bike, ATV and 4WD truck. Several primitive campgrounds and staging areas are available.

Dove Springs is located approximately 32 miles north of Mojave off Highway 14. Situated just north of Red Rock Canyon, Dove Springs offers hundreds of ATV trails on over 5,000 acres of desert terrain. Good for dirt bikes, ATV, dune buggy and 4x4. Several primitive campgrounds and staging areas are available. A popular staging area is at Dove Springs Bowl.

Sunrise MX Park is located north of Adelanto on Highway 395. Sunrise MX Park hosts scheduled motocross race events and also features open use days when the general public can use the tracks. They have four motocross tracks that include a Main Track, Vet Track, Stadiumcross Track and PeeWee Track. Bring your dirt bike and test your skills on sweepers, table tops, doubles, triples and more. Or watch the pros battle it out at one of their race events. Johnson Valley is located south of Barstow off Highway 247. Johnson Valley offers 188,000 acres of mountain terrain, rolling hills, dry lakes, washes and sand dunes for off-road-vehicles. Geology Tour Road, Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree National Park is located north of Palm Springs between Highway 62 and Interstate 10. There are many challenging dirt roads and ATV trails within the park - many head to unique points of interest. More challenging roads reside in the eastern and more remote portion of the park. Colorado Desert Off-Road Parks

Ocotillo Wells is located in the Anza-Borrego Desert of Highway 78. Octotillo Wells features 85,000 acres of off-road trails. Unique trails and destinations include Blow Sand Hill, Devil's Slide, Shell Reef, Gas Domes and more. Good for dirt bike, ATV and 4WD truck. Nearby campgrounds offer vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings and shade. No water.

The Imperial Sand Dunes are located approximately 20 to 30 miles east of Brawley and El Centro between Highway 78 and Interstate 8. This 40-mile long and 5-mile wide sand dune is the largest in the state. Also known as 'Glamis' the Imperial Dunes are a playground for dirt bikes, ATV, dune buggy, sand rail and 4x4. Several campgrounds and staging areas offer restrooms and minimal amenities. No water.
