Inland Empire

Inland Empire lakes offer boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and other activities. These lakes offer rentals for fishing boat, pontoon boats, ski boats, Sea-Doo, Jet Ski, WaveRunner, paddle boat, paddleboard, canoe and kayak. Most have boat launch ramps and marinas that provide fuel, food & drink, cafés, fishing tackle and camping supplies. Several Inland Empire lakes offer camping. Among those to choose from are Big Bear, Elsinore, Silverwood, Perris, Gregory, Diamond Valley and many more. Silverwood Lake is located east of the Cajon Pass off Highway 138. Silverwood offers activities like boating, fishing, swimming, camping and picnicking. Amenities include a marina and general store. Boat rentals include ski boats, fishing boat, pontoon boats, jet ski, water bikes, paddle boats, canoe and kayak. Silverwood supports fish species like trout, large mouth bass, catfish and bluegill.

Lake Gregory is located between Silverwood Lake and Lake Arrowhead off Highway 18. Gregory is less than a mile in length but provides plenty of fun for children with its white sandy beaches and water toys. Activities include kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming and picnicking. Amenities include walking trails, a skate park, dog park and model boat area. Boat rentals include row boats, water bike, paddle boats, stand-up paddleboard (SUP), kayak and canoe. Gregory supports fish species like trout and bass.

Green Valley Lake is located between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake off Highway 18. Green Valley is a small private lake less than a ½-mile long. Passes can be purchased for public use. Activities include camping, boating, fishing, swimming and picnicking. Amenities include a marina and general store. Boat rentals include fishing boat, paddle boat, kayak and canoe. Green Valley supports fish species like trout, large mouth bass and crappie.

Big Bear Lake is located at the junction of Highway 18 and 38 high in the mountains, east of San Bernardino. At nearly 6-miles long, Big Bear is a large recreational lake. Activities include boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, camping, horseback riding, sightseeing and picnicking. Amenities include several marinas, cabins, restaurants, campgrounds, museums and much more. Boat rentals include everything from canoes and paddle boats to jet skis and pontoon boats. Big Bear supports fish species like trout, large mouth bass, small mouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill and crappie.

Horseshoe Lake is located off Interstate 15 & Bear Valley Road, east of Victorville. Situated in Mojave Narrows County Park, Horseshoe is very small with activities that include camping, picnicking, horseback riding and fishing. Amenities include a campground, picnic areas, playground, zero-depth water park, bait shop and equestrian center. Boat rentals include paddle boats, row boats and electric boats. Horseshoe supports fish species like trout, bass and catfish.

Cucamonga Guasti Lake is located on the other side of Interstate 10 from the Ontario International Airport. Guasti is less than a ½-mile in length. Activities include shore fishing, swimming and picnicking. Amenities include two lakes, water slides and a large public swimming pool. Boat rentals include paddle boats. Glen Helen Lake is located at the intersection of Interstates 15 and 215 in San Bernardino. Situated at the base of the Cajon Pass and the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountain ranges, Glen Helen Regional Park offers a plethora of entertainment. Activities include shore fishing, swimming and picnicking. Amenities include water slides, a large public swimming complex, bait shop, snack bar, concert amphitheater and off-highway raceway. Two very small lakes offer shore fishing for trout, bass and catfish.

Yucaipa Lake is located off Interstate 10 east of Redlands. Yucaipa is comprised of three very small lakes totaling less than a ½-mile in length. Activities include shore fishing, swimming, camping, picnicking and horseback riding. Amenities include water slides and a large public swim lagoon. Boat rentals include paddle boats and aqua cycles. Yucaipa supports fish species like trout, bass and catfish.

Prado Lake is located off Highway 71 in south Chino. Prado is a small lake situated in Prado Regional Park. Diamond Valley Lake is located off the 215 Freeway south of Hemet. Diamond Valley is Southern California's largest lake at more than 4-miles long and 2-miles wide. Activities include boating and fishing. No body contact is allowed with the water so swimming, water-skiing and personal watercraft are not permitted. Amenities include a bait shop and marina. Boat rentals include pontoon boats and fishing boats. Diamond Valley supports fish species like bass, stripped bass, trout, shad, catfish and pan fish.
