Horseback riding in the Central Valley is available in the towns of Elverta, Winters, Sanger, Clovis and Caliente. Lose the hiking boots and cover more distance in less time than hiking. Horses can cover great distances in much less time than hiking. Generally, horse trail rides head for the most breathtaking lookout points and other points of interest that the region has to offer. Most of the horse trail riding in the Central Valley includes horseback trail rides from one to two hours with helmets provided for rider safety. Although trail riding horses can be unpredictable, the horses are generally of calm temperament and disposition making them easy even for inexperienced children to ride.
