Taylor Creek Stream Profile Chamber

Taylor Creek Visitor Center is a nature center on the edge of Lake Tahoe offering short paved walking trails through wetlands and along Taylor Creek. Rainbow Trail has a Stream Profile Chamber where a portion of Taylor Creek diverted along side a below-ground viewing chamber. Native trout such as rainbows and brooks are commonly seen and beginning in October, Kokanee Salmon can be seen as they begin their spawning runs in Taylor Creek. Souvenirs and reference materials such as nature books and maps are available at the visitor center.
