Houseboating Overview
Several marinas on lakes and tributaries throughout California offer houseboats for rent. Lake Shasta and Lake Havasu are two of the most notable lakes for houseboating but Lake Berryessa in the Napa Valley, Don Pedro in Gold Country and the California Delta out of Stockton have just as much beauty and attraction. Similar to a motorhome, houseboats can come with many modern conveniences including fully-stocked kitchens, full bathrooms, separate sleeping quarters, living spaces, central heat & air, gas barbeques, sun decks, waterslides, hot tubs, and much, much more. Most houseboats accommodate from 10 to 20 persons. All training and safety equipment is provided at time of rental. Find your own secluded cove to spend the night or play in during the day. Sleep out on the sundeck on a warm summer night and count shooting stars before dozing off. Cast a line off the back and troll for dinner while exploring the lake. Consider renting a waverunner or ski boat to tow behind the houseboat for playtime on the lake. Fire up the barbeque and blend the mixed drinks while enjoying quality time with friends and family.
