Universal City Walk is located in Universal City, Hollywood. This is an outdoor mall that includes restaurants, shops and entertainment. Shops include Dodgers Clubhouse where you can purchase Dodger's baseball merchandise and the Universal Studios Store. Entertainment includes an amphitheatre, B.B.King Blues club, a comedy club and much more.

Gibson Amphitheatre is located off Highway 101 at the Universal Studios exit. Formerly Universal Amphitheatre, it is not truly an amphitheatre since a roof was applied in the 90's. This is a large venue that hosts top bands performing everything from Rap and R&B to rock and country.

Hollywood Bowl is located off Highway 101 near the Odin Street exit. This shell-shaped amphitheatre is a Hollywood landmark and hosts orchestras and other musical events. The big names play at 'The Bowl,' which have included Nat King Cole, B.B. King, Willie Nelson and so many more. This is where the L.A. Philharmonic performs and other events include blues & jazz festivals.

TIP: Get there early and bring picnic items or purchase a box lunch at 'The Bowl'... It's the thing to do. Picnic areas exist throughout the surrounding hills or enter 'The Bowl' and picnic on the lawn.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre

Hollywood & Highland is located off Highway 101 and the Hollywood Boulevard exit. This is the heart of Hollywood where Grauman's (Mann's) Chinese Theatre, El Capitan Theatre, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum, Hollywood Walk of Fame draw millions of visitors each year. The Hollywood & Highland Center offers outdoor shopping, dining and viewing walkways of the Hollywood sign. Many movies premier at Mann's Chinese and El Capitan Theatres. Nightclubs and other Hollywood hotspots are within walking distance.

Sunset Strip is a stretch of Sunset Boulevard that has a dense grouping of popular night clubs, comedy clubs, restaurants and shops. Here you will find the famous Whiskey a Go-Go where many popular bands get their start. The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store are where Jim Carey and Richard Pryor got their big breaks. The Sunset Plaza is a small shopping center but attracts high-end retailers and big celebrities.

Greek Theatre is located in Griffith Park northeast of Hollywood. This amphitheatre in the trees hosts top musical performers of rock, country, R&B and more.

Nokia Theater is located in downtown Los Angeles off Interstates 10 & 110, near the Convention Center and Staples Center. This mid-sized venue hosts top performers, orchestras, television broadcasts and awards ceremonies. Only open since 2007, Nokia has hosted performers like Neil Young, The Eagles, Dixie Chicks, Anita Baker and Mary J. Blige. Television events include 'So You Think You Can Dance' and the 'American Music Awards'.

Walt Disney Concert Hall was built by renowned architect Frank Gehry and is an unmistakable structure. The exterior is constructed entirely of stainless steel with waves, curves and protrusions jutting upward as if they grew like crystals. It is designed to be one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world. This is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and many other events are held here included rock concerts and Hollywood award shows. The grounds also include gardens that are a favorite place for business people and locals to catch a refreshing break.

Santa Monica Pier & 3rd Street Promenade are located where Interstate 10 meets the Pacific Ocean. Attractions include Pacific Park (a boardwalk park with rollercoasters and thrill rides), an arcade, aquarium, souvenir shops and restaurants. The nearby Santa Monica Place offers shopping from some of the major retailers like Macy's and Robinson's May. Continuing 3 blocks north from Santa Monica Place along 3rd Street is the 3rd Street Promenade. This promenade offers an outdoor shopping and entertainment venue along 3 blocks of pedestrian-only streets.

Fisherman's Village is located in Marina del Rey off Highways 1 & 90. Modeled after a New England seaport village, Fisherman's Village offers many souvenir shops, restaurants and entertainment options.
