Below you'll find information on several sea caves that can be found along San Francisco's coastal regions. Whether it be the rugged seclusion of Point Reyes National Seashore on foot or by kayak at Pigeon Point, the San Francisco region has something to suit your interest. Most of these sea caves are small and only explorable on-foot at the lowest of tides. Others are only accessible by kayak and experienced paddlers.
McClure's Beach Elephant Cave is located north of Inverness and at the northern tip of Point Reyes National Seashore. Park at the end of Pierce Point Road and follow the dirt trail a half-mile down to a secluded beach. Head south on McClure's Beach to tidepools and a very small sea cave - only accessible at negative low tides.

Sculptured Beach Secret Cave is located south of Inverness within the Point Reyes National Seashore. Follow Limantour Road to the end. Head south from Limantour Beach to Scultured Beach and several sea caves, arches and tidepools - only accessible at negative low tides.

Pigeon Point Sea Cave is located south of Pescadero off Highway 1. The sea cave is located below the Pigeon Point Lighthouse on the south side of the cliff. The cave is only accessible by kayak.
