Dripping Cave is located in Aliso Viejo off Interstate 5, in Aliso & Wood Canyons County Park. This former sea cave, also known as 'Robbers Cave', was once used as a hideout by unscrupulous characters including pirates, stagecoach robbers and cattle rustlers. The cave was officially named 'Dripping Cave' because the cave opening drips during wet seasons. From Alicia Parkway, turn west on Awma Road and park in the county parking lot. Pay parking. Follow the road behind the museum for approximately a half-mile. Turn right on the wide dirt road and look for the Dripping Cave sign another quarter-mile or so. There will be a rock formation halfway there that has several tiny caves where kids have fun playing. Watch out for mountain bikers.
