Customers wishing to advertise on California Revealed are required to adhere to the following policies. We ask that you read these policies carefully and refer to this document often. If you fail to comply with these policies, we may disable your ad. While in many cases we prefer to work with customers to achieve policy compliance, we reserve the right to refuse service or disable any ad at any time, for any reason we deem necessary. If your ad is disabled, you may not be eligible to advertise with us again.
Please note that we may change our policies at any time and it is your responsibility to keep up to date with and adhere to the policies posted here.
Ads are displayed on the top, bottom and down both sides of each page. The number of ads will be limited to avoid blank space at the bottom of our web pages. Advertisers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
California Revealed will make every effort to bring your ad visibility. California Revealed makes no guarantee as to the specific location of an ad on any given page. Ad placement will be determined by the adjacent content and the availability of space. In some cases where ad space is abundant, California Revealed may place an ad in multiple locations on a single page for no additional charge, but these ads will always be subject to replacement by new advertisers. California Revealed makes no guarantee that your ad will not be placed next to or near a competitor’s ad or content.
Our #1 goal is to keep the site useful and informative. In doing so we have these requirements when accepting advertisers:
- Ads must be relevant to travel & tourism within the state of California
- Your product or service must be of benefit to our visitors
- Minimal animation consisting of up to a 5-frame gif (no flashing backgrounds or elements)
California Revealed will not post ads pointing to sites with any of the following content:
- Violent content, racial intolerance, or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization
- Pornography, adult, or mature content
- Hacking or cracking content
- Excessive profanity
- Online Gambling or online casino-related content
- Excessive pop-up, pop-under or any other annoying advertising methods
- Content that specializes in travel outside of California
- Sales or promotion of sexual aids
- Sales or promotion of drugs or drug paraphernalia, both legal and illicit
- Sales or promotion of weapons or ammunition
- Sales or promotion of alcohol
- Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products
- Sales or promotion of prescription drugs
- Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
- Political or religious content
- Sites that initiate changes to a user's browser functions, settings or automatically download programs without the user's consent
- Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes on the legal rights of others
