Wheel Fun Rentals has several locations throughout the Los Angeles region. They rent unique bicycles including 2 to 6-person Surrey bikes, beach cruisers, road bikes, kids bikes and more. Look for them along bike paths in touristy locations. Long Beach Queen Mary

The Queen Mary is located in off Interstates 405 and 710 in Long Beach. She made her maiden voyage in 1936. Built as a luxury liner, The Queen Mary actually broke records during WWII while transporting troops. Long Beach purchased the ship in 1967 and has since maintained it as a hotel with restaurants and activities. Adjacent to the Queen Mary is the Scorpion, a Soviet submarine used during the Cold War era. Tours are available.

TIP: The Queen Mary hosts events throughout the year including dances, concerts, halloween haunts, brunches, fireworks shows and much more. Also, the guided tour is worth the money to find out about the history and era of the ship.

Bay Boat Rentals

Duffy Boating in an electric powered Duffy boat. Rentals are available from Alamitos Bay off Interstate 405 near Highway 22 in Long Beach. Bring your own beverages and appetizers as you cruise Alamitos Bay and Naples Island in style. Every boat has a CD player, cooler, table with drink holders, drop-down wind breaks and sun canopy. They're easy to drive even if you've never driven a boat before. Duffy's are available that hold up to 10 comfortably.

TIP: Be sure to call ahead because boats sellout quickly and tides may be too high to navigate under the bridges in Naples.

Naples Gondola at Sunset

Gondola through Naples aboard a Venician style gondola. Tours are available from Belmont Shore off Interstate 405 near Highway 22 in Long Beach. Gondolas are available for couples or groups and appetizers are provided. Bring your own wine. Meander the canals amidst multi-million dollar homes as your gondolier sings Italian songs and educates you on the history of the region.

Helicopter Flight to Catalina or create a custom tour of your choice with Island Express. The helipad is located near the Queen Mary in Long Beach at the end of Interstate 710. They specialize in getting customers to Catalina Island in less than 15-minutes. Consider their tour up the coast to Santa Monica, Hollywood and back. Very few tourists are able to get a picture of the Hollywood sign from a helicopter.
