Snow Skiing & Boarding resorts are found throughout the mountains that border the Inland Empire. Big Bear being the most popular, is located east of San Bernardino and offers two large ski mountains (Bear Mountain and Snow Valley). Mountain High is the next largest ski resort and is north of San Bernardino. Mountain High offers two mountains (Mountain High and Sunrise). Sunrise is great for beginners. Mt. Mt. Baldy Trout Pools are located on Mt. Baldy Road north of the 210 Freeway. They offer several small freshwater pools that are teaming with trout just waiting for anglers to catch. Bring your own pole or rent one there. You only pay for the fish you catch. This is a great experience for the youngsters. Cost includes the cleaning of fish and packaging on ice for transport home.
